Nisäkäsmaailmassa usein käy niin, että naaraat hoitavat jälkikasvun hoidosta, samalla kun urokset painaa omilla seikkailuillaan. Naaraille jää imetyksen ja ruoan hankkimisen lisäksi vastuu pentujen suojelusta esim. oman lajin muilta uroksilta. Eroavaisuuksiakin on, kuten kärppänaaras on heti yhäiti kun taas susiurokset hoitavat pentujaan hyvän isän tavoin.
Myös ketuissa esiintyy tasapuolisuutta. Uroskettu mm. kantaa ruokaa pesään pennuille sekä heitä vahtivalle emolle.
🦊In mammal families you can see alot of different kinds of family structures. Mostly females are left to take care of the pups all by themselves as the males wonder off on their own. Females take care of the feeding, protecting and hunting for food. But there are many ways to build a family! Female ermine is left to be single mom, yet male wolves are very much in the family bonding.
There is some equality to foxes. The male fox hunts for food and brings it to his pups ans wifey at home.
